What kind of lotion would you recommend for a dry acne prone face?

Sunday, May 23rd, 2010

I am currently using proactiv’s 3 step program and it is beginning to make my face peel slightly. The repairing lotion that came with it is not doing the trick, is there any fair priced product that I can buy at a local store that won’t clog my pores and cause a break out?

Also, I have acne scarred skin and was going to try preferON on some of them. I tried using cocoa butter, but that caused me to break out.

Buying Wholesale Tanning Lotion

Saturday, May 22nd, 2010

You already probably know the importance of buying tanning lotion if you’re going to enjoy indoor tanning (or even outdoor for that matter). But perhaps you sometimes skimp on the amount of lotion that you use because you’re concerned about the price. If you enjoy tanning on a regular basis, you may find that buying lotion can become an expensive part of the package. However, it remains an important part of the overall process so you shouldn’t neglect it. To reduce costs, you might consider buying wholesale lotion.

Wholesale tanning lotion can be purchased online to reduce the cost that you spend on your tanning process. By buying wholesale, you reduce the overall cost of tanning and also have the option of buying your tanning products in bulk. This means that you will not only spend less money but you’ll also have to engage in buying lotion on a much less frequent basis. You can stock up on all of the different lotions that you use, from the one that you apply for tanning at the indoor salon to the tan extender that helps your tan continue developing after you’ve gone back to normal light.

When buying wholesale lotion online, there are a few things that you’ll want to take a closer look at:

- Know what product you’re buying. Make sure that you’re buying the tanning lotion that you normally use and not a knock-off. You want to save money but still get your money’s worth.

- Double-check if there are special requirements for purchasers of wholesale tanning lotions. Some online stores require that you become a member of an organization or particular salon; you should know the details before you hit the “checkout” button.

- Look at the cost of shipping before you buy. You don’t want to choose an online tanning lotion supplier that is going to charge you so much in shipping that you’d have been better off buying off the shelf. Watch the details carefully to keep yourself from getting swindled.

- Check out what other products are offered on the site. If you’re saving money by buying wholesale tanning lotion, you might be able to splurge a little on trying out some new products that you haven’t had the opportunity to use before.

Buying wholesale tanning lotion is just one way to reduce the cost of what you spend on your tanning products. You can also join certain membership clubs, look for sales and ask about discounts through your tanning salon. You may not like the fact that you have to buy lotion, but it’s important to the tanning process. You should consider it to fall into the same category as your daily cosmetics. Sure, the price can add up but the value they give you by helping you look good is worth the cost. Still, if you can reduce the cost a little bit by buying wholesale tanning lotion or finding other discounts, you certainly shouldn’t hesitate to do so. Just don’t skip the lotion altogether. It’s a very necessary expense.

Can you get lotion stains off a wallet?

Thursday, May 20th, 2010

My sister spilled a bit of lotion on her Coach wallet and there’s a tiny faded mark on it that’s bugging her. Is there any way to get rid of it?
It’s actually not faded but a darker color than the parts of the wallet that didn’t get lotion on it.

Wholesale Tanning Lotions for Professional Buyers

Wednesday, May 19th, 2010

Lotions go with tanning like catsup goes with fries. Salon operators, or even serious home tanning buffs, can go through a lot of tanning lotion. This can prove quite detrimental to one’s pocketbook. Luckily, there exists a convenient solution. Wholesale tanning lotions are now available to everyone whether they be a major salon owner or just a regular consumer looking for a bargain.

Tanning lotions come in many varieties and qualities. Many contain tanning accelerators which compress the amount of time needed in the tanning bed or booth which allows salons to cater better to their busy clientele. Tanning accelerators work by stimulating the production of melanin, a natural tanning agent found in the skin. This also often serves to prevent unwanted freckles.

Some lotions also contain additional natural ingredients. Examples include aloe, vitamin E, hemp oil, and extract of guava. These additions are aimed at improving skin texture and moisture counteracting the sometimes harsh effects of UV light exposure. Superior lotions allow one to emerge from the tanning bed with skin silkier than it was before.

Other lotions contain bronzing agents. The most common bronzing ingredient is dihydroxyacentone (DHA). Inclusion of DHA allows a lotion to create tanning effects even without any exposure to the sun or tanning bed lamps. Premium lotions include all of these components acting as accelerators, bronzers and softeners all in one.

Another important factor to consider in lotion selection is the sun protection factor, most commonly referred to as SPF. Those with light complexions are highly advised to use a lotion with the highest SPF possible, assuming tanning is even appropriate for them at all. Lotions with high sun protection factors are widely available through wholesale distributors.

Many retail locations provide a good selection of lotions. However, they do not offer such a good selection of prices. If you operate a salon professionally this becomes of paramount importance. Similarly, an ardent tanner with a tanning bed at home can equally benefit through reduced expenses associated with lotions.

There are quite a few traditional “brick and mortar” wholesale locations across America. Good directories exist online for those who desire to shop the old fashioned way at a store. However, the more popular option today is to purchase your lotions directly online. Most every major wholesaler now has a web site allowing purchase without ever leaving your home or salon. Free shipping is often offered with stipulated minimum purchase amounts.

Tanning without lotion is almost unthinkable. Also unthinkable is squandering your hard earned money paying retail. Thankfully, there exists wholesale tanning lotions to allow for higher profits for operators and saved dollars for consumers. Whether it be at a traditional storefront location, or through a wholesaler’s web site, the availability exists for all of us to fill our lotion needs without it costing a well tanned arm or leg.

Save money and get the tan you desire with wholesale tanning lotions. To find more, visit http://www.TanningVillage.com where you’ll find this and much more, including popular tanning booths.

What brands of lotion are out there that do not contain any palm oil?

Tuesday, May 18th, 2010

I love lotion, for hands, face and body. I refuse to stop using it. I just want to find ones that are better for the environment and more specifically do not contain palm oil. Ones available in Canada would be most ideal. Thanks!

Tips for Using Indoor Tanning Lotions

Sunday, May 16th, 2010

“Even if you are experienced in using indoor tanning lotions for improving the effects of your day at the tanning salon, you could probably use a few extra tips. Anyone who is interested in maximizing the results of their tan will want to know all that the can about how to do so. Some of these tips may be familiar to you but hopefully you’ll gain some additional knowledge that can help simplify your tanning process and improve your use of indoor tanning lotions.

Tips for using indoor tanning lotions:

o Know the differences between indoor tanning lotions. When you were first getting started with tanning, you probably thought that all indoor tanning lotions were the same. Now you probably know that they aren’t. If you’ve gotten used to using the same products every time, you might want to take a look at what else is out there on the market. This doesn’t mean just making sure you’re using the right one for your skin tone. Various products offer various benefits. Do you want tan extender lotions to facilitate tanning after you’ve left the salon? Would you be interested in indoor tanning lotions that contain bronzers to jumpstart the tanning process? You should do your research into really understanding the differences between all of your indoor tanning lotions so that you get the one that is truly right for you.

o Know your alphabet. Well, not your alphabet per se but the important letters which correspond with the vitamins that your body needs. You should look for indoor tanning lotions that include Vitamin A and Vitamin E. These vitamins are crucial to reducing aging effects on the skin. They’ll also help with moisturizing which is an important part of the proper use of indoor tanning lotions.

o Don’t forget your kisser. Many people use indoor tanning lotions on their entire body, including giving particular care to their face, but then they forget to protect their lips. You’ll want to make sure that after applying indoor tanning lotions to your face, you dry off your mouth from any stray lotion that’s there. Then add a sunscreen or appropriate chapstick to your lips. You don’t want to have a great tan but be unkissable.

o Back it up. You may not ever take a look at your back but when you’re wearing that sexy strapless swimsuit, your back is bared for all to see. You want your tan to be even across your entire body and that means making sure that your indoor tanning lotions are properly applied to your back. Solicit someone else at the salon to smooth it on for you. Some salons even provide this service as a really offer.

o Tyrosine. Huh? You want to find indoor tanning lotions that have tyrosine in the ingredients. This ingredient helps to clean out your pores. That’s a quality that is always good and is especially good when you’re slathering lotion on to your body. For healthier skin, it’s the way to go.”
